We are seeking a skilled Demolition Estimator to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our decommissioning team, you will play a crucial role in identifying the inputs needed to develop cost models for estimates, tenders, and framework call-off submissions.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and quantify the inputs required for cost modeling, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Collaborate with the finance team to create and facilitate commercial models in line with governance guidelines.
- Develop rate cards for remeasurable contracts and elements.
- Liaise with internal and external contacts to respond to technical and assurance requirements.
- Assist customers with scoping, legislative, and technical advice to develop prospects.
- Support the completion of tender proposals.
- Build and develop relationships with internal contributors.
- Decommissioning technical knowledge is essential.
- Ability to take off material quantities from drawings, site visits, and photographs.
- Production of estimates of required resources and associated cost elements for decommissioning projects.
- High level of numeracy and spreadsheet skills.
- Knowledge of waste and scrap types, market intelligence on recycling options, and disposal prices.
