Job Title: Assistant Network Coordinator

Leeds City Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Network Management team as an Assistant Network Coordinator. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the effective operation of the city's highway network, preventing unnecessary disruption for people, goods, and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage data on the Street Works Register and its associated applications, including word documents, databases, spreadsheets, and GIS maps.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Statutory Undertakers and Private Developers to minimize disruption within the City for works without invasive traffic management.
  • Respond to enquiries from the general public and colleagues on issues relating to the control and coordination of work on the highway.
  • Assist the Network Support Officer in other duties as and when necessary to support the work of the Section.
  • Promote and deliver positive solutions to achieving diversity and equality in all aspects of service delivery, community engagement areas, focusing on equality of outcome.
Requirements:
  • Educated to GSCE standard (minimum C grade) in English Language and Maths.
  • Proficient in using a keyboard and a variety of computer packages, especially Word and Excel.
  • Able to work on own initiative, with minimum supervision and often to tight deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change to assist other services as required commensurate to grade.
  • Participate in appraisal, training, and development activities.
