Lead Highway Engineer for Highways Design

This is a 6-month contract role with a hybrid working arrangement, offering the opportunity to work on exciting highway design projects. As a Lead Highway Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing feasibility studies, designs, scheme drawings, and calculations, as well as drafting contract documents and specifications.

Required Experience and Skills
  • A minimum of 10 years of practical design experience in a highway design office.
  • Proven experience working with Local Authorities.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough working knowledge of the DMRB, LTN 1/20, and other current design standards. Proficiency in design software such as Civils 3D and/or MX is also advantageous.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £90,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a hybrid working arrangement. The position falls outside IR35.
