Music Conductor Leader

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic music conductor to lead Aylesbury Choral Society.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in choral and orchestral leadership, with excellent communication skills and the ability to teach and encourage amateur singers.

• Lead rehearsals and performances of 50+ singers, performing 3 major concerts per season with professional orchestras and soloists.
• Develop and implement a repertoire plan, including a variety of styles and languages from 16th to 21st century works.
• Manage organizational tasks, communicate with choir members, and motivate the choir to achieve great things.

The music director will be responsible for:

1. Leading rehearsals and performances, working closely with the choir and professional musicians.
2. Developing and implementing a repertoire plan that showcases the choir's abilities and appeals to a broad audience.
3. Managing organizational tasks, including scheduling rehearsals and performances, coordinating with professionals, and ensuring smooth operations.
4. Encouraging and motivating amateur singers to reach their full potential, providing constructive feedback and support.
5. Building relationships with professional musicians, singers, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and growth.
6. Coordinating performances with professional orchestras and soloists, ensuring seamless execution and excellent quality.

The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
