Grounds Maintenance Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grounds Maintenance Manager to join our team at a 5* holiday park based near Penrith. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the park's grounds and facilities are presented to an exceptional standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of grounds staff, overseeing all aspects of park maintenance, including cleaning, gardening, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure the upkeep of all garden areas, including plants, flowers, hedges, and trees, as well as the maintenance of gravel, decking, and patio areas.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Team to ensure the areas around accommodations are prepared to the highest standards.
- Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Manager and General Manager, keeping them informed of work completed and any issues or faults identified.
- Review and drive improvements of standards across the park, ensuring an impeccable presentation in all areas.
- Utilize company suppliers and ensure full and clear communication with all contractors, overseeing their work and signing off when complete.
- Ensure all equipment, including vehicles and tools, are maintained to the appropriate standard to ensure the health and safety of your team and customers.
- Play a proactive part in HOD meetings and attend other meetings and events as required.
- Manage departmental budgets and oversee HR-related tasks, including recruitment, rotas, and payroll.
- Train and develop your team in all aspects of their roles.
- Monitor and complete all safety checks required and address any highlighted requirements.
Requirements
- Flexibility with working arrangements, including weekend work and some early evenings.
- A full driving licence is essential due to the location of the park.
