Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Fellow to join our team in the School of Health in Social Science. The successful candidate will have a specialism in the Person-Centred Approach and will be responsible for delivering teaching and practice learning support for our professional programmes in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to core teaching on our postgraduate Counselling and Psychotherapy Programmes
  • Supervise dissertations and support practice placements
  • Design and deliver course materials and assess student performance in both academic assignments and counselling practice development
  • Support students in practice skills development
  • Take responsibility for organising own activities and managing allocated resources
  • Work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
Requirements
  • Qualified practitioner in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy with professional accreditation
  • Postgraduate qualification in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Masters or Doctorate level
  • Experience in professional education in the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy
  • Ability to design and deliver course materials and assess student performance
  • Experience of supporting students in practice skills development
