About the Role

Cygnet is seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Wallace Hospital in Dundee, Scotland. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering an evidence-based SLT service to meet the needs of our clients with learning disabilities, autism, and complex behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, advise, and intervene with clients to promote functional communication systems and optimal independence.
  • Develop skills to work with clients, families, friends, and carers to deliver high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop communication resources and deliver training for staff.
  • Work in a dynamic environment, modifying traditional SLT approaches to meet real-time client needs.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Experience or interest in the field of learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Understanding of person-centered planning and willingness to work in line with key national legislation and guidance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to take direction from senior colleagues.
  • Enthusiasm, motivation, and passion for working with clients with complex needs.
