Job Opportunity: Temporary Pastoral Leader in a Large Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Leader to join our team from January 2025 on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide emotional, behavioural, and social support to children across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting Children's Wellbeing: Provide emotional, behavioural, and social support to children across all age groups.
  • Liaising with Staff and Parents: Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the holistic development of each pupil.
  • Promoting a Positive School Culture: Promote a positive and inclusive school culture, supporting attendance, and managing interventions.
  • Offering Support: Offer one-to-one and group support for pupils facing challenges both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Supporting Teachers: Support teachers in creating a nurturing learning environment.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience in a pastoral, teaching assistant, or similar support role is essential.
  • Passion for Working with Children: A passion for working with children and a commitment to their wellbeing and development.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant qualifications (e.g. Childcare, Counselling, Social Work) are desirable but not essential.
  • DBS Check: A DBS check will be required (can be arranged through Teaching Personnel if needed).
