Your New Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Plumber to join our team at HMP Kirklevington Grange, Stockton-on-Tees. This contract role is based on-site and is initially for 3 months, with a view for extension and the option to go permanent for the right person.

As a Maintenance Plumber, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that both planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out safely, compliantly, and on time.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Routine and non-routine maintenance
* Fault finding and identification of life-expired equipment
* Perform mains water supply repairs
* Carry out inspections, water sampling, and risk assessments
* Minimising wastage and continually improving processes
* Ensuring statutory works are carried out on time and compliant
* Supporting both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner
* Ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract

**What makes this role unique is that you will ensure all works are carried out to the highest safety standards and to the agreed method statements. Prison Security Clearance will be required (we will support you through this process).

**Requirements:**

* Full driving licence
* Appropriate Trade qualification (Level 3)
* Ideally, you will be qualified to NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance (NVQ level 2 or time served applications may also be considered)

**About the Role:**

This role is based on-site at HMP Kirklevington Grange, Stockton-on-Tees. You will work 1 in 3 weekends on a rota basis, with an additional allowance of 15% of your basic salary.
