Job Title: Housing & Support Officer (Permanent, Part Time)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Housing & Support Officer to join our team at YMCA DownsLink Group. As a key member of our Transitional Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 18-35 to build essential life skills, identify their goals, and work towards aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Deputy Supported Housing Manager and the wider housing team to provide effective day-to-day management of our transitional accommodation service.
  • Develop and maintain a caseload of residents, working creatively and effectively alongside young people to develop their assets and talents and acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
  • Support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of working with young people, preferably in a housing or support role.
  • Knowledge of housing and welfare benefits, along with an awareness of all aspects of safeguarding.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £26,955 per annum pro rata.
  • A permanent, part-time contract with a working pattern of Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (working pattern can be discussed at interview).
