About Your New Role

At Weightmans, our Property Litigation team is a dynamic and fast-growing national practice, operating from five offices across the UK. We act for a diverse range of clients, including public and private sector landlords, tenants, and real estate developers.

As a Property Litigation Solicitor, you will join a strong and ambitious team that has more than doubled in size over the last five years. Your primary responsibilities will include managing a caseload of mixed property litigation work, which may include defendant housing disrepair cases, commercial cases such as estate management work and possession actions, and residential cases like possessions and rent recovery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of property litigation work, including defendant housing disrepair cases and commercial cases such as estate management work and possession actions.
  • Assist other case handlers with their caseloads and support more junior members of the team.
  • Contribute to business development and profile-raising initiatives, including networking events.
  • Complete MI procedures as required and achieve set targets/KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and highly-driven Property Litigation Solicitor with a flexible approach and excellent IT and typing skills. You should have knowledge of property litigation work and be able to work to strict deadlines and targets. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.
