Job Title: Council Tax Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Council Tax Officer to join our team for a 3 to 6 month contract. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the Academy IT system and a strong understanding of relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process billing work, including moves, discount exemptions, and correspondence
• Manage collection work, ensuring cases are progressed from liability order onwards
• Deal with bailiff returns, gone away cases, arrangement and default cases
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Requirements:

• Essential experience using the Academy IT system
• Previous experience working as a Council Tax Officer on both billing and collection
• Knowledge of relevant legislation
• Ability to work fully remotely or a blend of office and homeworking

Contract Details:

• Initial 3 to 6 month contract
• PAYE via Umbrella
• Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (fully remote)
