About Our Client

Page Personnel Sales is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join their team in Crawley.

Job Description
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present month-end reporting packs, including commentary on variances, to stakeholders.
  • Deliver monthly balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and support annual and interim audit processes.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous financial controls, including weekly and monthly processes.
  • Support internal audit and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Process payroll information, reconcile accounts, and submit VAT returns.
  • Manage freight and express job exceptions, invoices, and credit notes.
  • Investigate and resolve general ledger coding issues and interface failures.
  • Maintain leases and fixed asset schedules, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and cover management accountant activities as required.
The Successful Applicant
  • May be studying towards an accountancy qualification.
  • Demonstrates previous experience in a management accounting role.
  • May have previous experience as a Financial Accountant.
  • Experience in Freight Forwarding or similar business is a plus but not essential.
  • Sound knowledge of accountancy techniques and practices.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, with a flexible approach to working practices.
