About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee business operations at DP World. The successful candidate will be responsible for delegating tasks to team members, resolving problems, and ensuring the adherence of site H&S procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all on-shift Health, Safety, Environmental issues arising, including full safety incident investigation and corrective action implementation.
- Responsible for identifying and implementing corrective actions for issues affecting departmental KPIs and specifying process improvements.
- Responsible for representing the department at internal and external customer meetings, communicating departmental shift issues and performance at team briefs.
- Manage manpower resources effectively to support customer delivery requirements and drive company Absence Control Procedures.
- Responsible for managing the development and maintenance of accurate Standard Work documentation.
- Identify departmental training needs using company training processes to maximize employee versatility.
- Drive Departmental Quality objectives, carrying out and completing full PPS activity and Root Cause Analysis for any Premium Freight, scrap costs, or stock losses.
- Assist production in engineering changes, production trials, model change, and pilot build.
- Enact contingency plans as needed, escalate and direct activities during system problems, disasters, etc.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in supervisory roles.
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
- Understanding of business planning.
- Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
