Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and well-organized Procurement Specialist to join our team. As an Indirect Buyer, you will play a crucial role in developing and improving the way our business purchases indirect goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate the lowest total acquisition costs for indirect goods and services
- Assist department staff in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Identify and recommend suppliers for new/existing requirements to meet cost reduction targets
- Monitor commodity market trends to provide information for strategic supplier negotiations
- Assist in drafting purchasing contracts between the business and new/existing suppliers
- Control and improve the ordering process for the company's stores
- Coordinate and manage the release, progression, and replies to quotations with recommendations and proposals
Requirements:
- MCIPS or other relevant qualification
- Experience working in a busy purchasing department within a manufacturing company
- Experience with MRP systems
- Negotiating costs
- Full UK driving license
