- Support branch managers in setting and achieving the branch's strategic objectives, including the development of long-term capability plans.
- Degree in an appropriate engineering or science discipline or equivalent experience.
- Ability to manage change in an evolving environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to quickly understand a wide range of technical issues and make robust decisions.
- Ability to deliver and make project or strategy recommendations to senior leaders.
- Ability to motivate teams to perform to a high level.
- The ability to ensure that risks are maintained As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
- Knowledge of the Nuclear Plant design under construction, in operation or defueling within the UK is desirable.
- Knowledge of UK-specific legislative requirements including Nuclear Site Licence Conditions is desirable.
