Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team at Coed-y-goras harvester. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations and best practices.
  3. Assist in the management of food production processes, including portion control and presentation, to meet customer expectations.
  4. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours, promoting a positive and efficient team environment.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed, minimizing waste and optimizing resources.
  6. Provide leadership and support to junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  7. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance culinary skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

  1. Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred, with a focus on food preparation and production.
  2. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards, with a focus on attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
  4. Experience in team management or leadership roles within a kitchen setting is advantageous, with a proven track record of success and a passion for mentoring and developing team members.
  5. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly valued, with a willingness to innovate and improve existing recipes and dishes.
