Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons to students in line with the national curriculum
  • Nurture students' creativity and help them develop their acting skills
  • Facilitate and oversee drama workshops and productions
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create cohesive and interdisciplinary lessons
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching drama at the primary or secondary level
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods
  • Strong ability to inspire and engage students through creative teaching strategies
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for drama and a genuine interest in promoting the performing arts
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
