Enhanced Care Opportunities in Mental Health

We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, providing enhanced care to patients with mental health needs. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with registered professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

About the Role
  • Therapeutic engagement and observation of patients with mental health conditions or experiencing psychological distress
  • Supporting patients with personal care needs and promoting their physical and mental wellbeing
Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate in risk assessments and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe care practices
  2. Deliver care in accordance with the principles of least restriction and national guidance on managing disturbed behaviour
  3. Escalate any increase in risk and actively de-escalate situations as necessary
  4. Provide exceptional customer care skills to ensure patients receive high-quality care
Requirements
  • NVQ III in Healthcare or equivalent qualification in the area of speciality
  • Training in safe physical interventions and restraint techniques
  • Previous experience working with patients who present a risk to themselves or others
