Senior Project Manager - Cost Estimation Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team in Manchester. As a specialist construction cost engineering practice, we require a professional with expertise in civil engineering and infrastructure to lead our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

General

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, promoting effective communication and knowledge-sharing.
  • Coach and mentor project team members to develop their professional and project delivery skills.
  • Adhere to business processes and policies, including time-sheeting and the use of project management tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve our engagement with clients and our products.
  • Act as an escalation point for clients.

Pre-sales

  • Engage with Sales to take timely and effective handover of the client relationship leading into implementation.
  • Review the Scope of Works and Requirements to ensure a consistent understanding of the project and identify activities for the project plan.

Implementation

  • Align the project team and client stakeholders on project scope, goals, and implementation deliverables.
  • Manage customer expectations regarding scope, project progress against deliverables and timeline, risks, and issues.
  • Maintain a project plan in the agreed systems, including effort estimates and resource scheduling.

Key Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in Project Management, including stakeholder management, risk, and issue management, and the use of project methodologies.
  • Ability to direct and bring together technical resources as one team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts and negotiate with stakeholders.
