Financial Analyst

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Pearson. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the division in four main areas:
- Month end activities, including journal entries
- Forecasting and budgeting
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Ad hoc queries and cost accounting analysis
About the Team
You will be part of the Pearson Financial Services (PFS) team, which is the centre of excellence for all FP&A and financial control activity. We partner with the business, finance business partners, and group reporting to provide outstanding financial support and service.
About the Job
As a Financial Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including:
- Developing and maintaining financial models and reports
- Analyzing financial data and providing insights to stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes
- Building relationships with key stakeholders, including finance business partners and group reporting
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Experience in a finance function and accounting operations, financial management, management accounting, and overhead cost accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
