About the Role

As an Adult Psychiatry Specialist, you will work with patients experiencing a range of mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and bipolar disorder. You will assess and evaluate patients, analyze data and test results to form accurate diagnoses, and create appropriate treatment plans. You will also communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including nursing staff and social workers, to ensure consistency throughout the duration of treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients with mental health problems
  • Analyze data and test results to form accurate diagnoses
  • Create treatment plans and communicate with other healthcare professionals
  • Prescribe and administer medications
  • Recognize signs of conditions worsening and intervene where necessary
  • Keep patient records and medical histories updated
  • Uphold the highest standards of practice and care
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • Full registration with the GMC
  • A full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
