About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Kinetech. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the technical implementation and maintenance of our services and infrastructure, encompassing both on-premise and Azure cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, Build, and Management of On-Premise Servers: You will be responsible for designing, building, and managing our on-premise servers, including Windows, virtualization (Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (Azure).
  • Infrastructure Scalability, Reliability, and Security: You will ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our infrastructure, including monitoring and maintaining the performance and availability of infrastructure.
  • Cloud Migration and Security: You will lead infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, including migration of end-of-life servers to the cloud, selecting and implementing a new disaster recovery solution, and enhancing our security posture.
  • Reporting and Incident Management: You will report on infrastructure performance, incidents, and improvements, and be responsible for maintaining technical documentation with a good attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Wide Infrastructure Engineering Experience: You will have demonstrable experience in physical servers (Windows), virtualization (Hyper-V), and cloud (Azure) environments.
  • Proficient in AD, DNS, DHCP, and Failover Manager: You will be proficient in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Failover Manager.
  • Experience with Backup Maintenance and Data Centre Management: You will have experience with backup maintenance (Veeam) and on-prem data centre management.
  • Azure Management and DR Implementation: You will have demonstrable experience with Azure management (VMs, NSG rules, storage accounts) and disaster recovery implementation and regular testing.
  • Networking Experience and Hardware Patching: You will have some networking experience in configuring and maintaining network devices, such as firewalls, switches, WiFi, and routers, and be able to perform hardware and software patching and firmware upgrades.
  • Strong Communication and Teamwork Skills: You will be able to work end-to-end on projects, with initiative and willingness to learn, and be able to work as part of a small team.
