Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning and physical disabilities
  • Encouraging independence and promoting active support for all
  • Supporting with daily living tasks, including washing, dressing, and hygiene
  • Administering medication and assisting with shopping, cleaning, and laundry tasks
  • Helping individuals to arrange and attend appointments
  • Promoting a positive culture and preventing social isolation
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records
  • Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working with adults with physical/learning disabilities or high needs
  • Ability to relate and empathise with individuals with physical/learning disabilities
  • Ability to work effectively in highly pressured situations
  • Experience with developing and maintaining accurate records and support plans
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages and internet communications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards
