Respiratory Team Administrator

To provide administrative support to the Respiratory Team, ensuring the smooth operation of the department. This role involves managing appointments, maintaining accurate records, and communicating effectively with clients, clinicians, and other services.
Main Responsibilities- Manage referrals and messages, ensuring timely and accurate communication with clinicians and clients.
- Record and retrieve patient information using the Rio Data Management System.
- Scan and upload referrals into the patient information system, maintaining confidentiality and security.
- Administer appointments, receive patients, and contribute to resolving problems that may arise.
- Disseminate information to clinical teams and managers as requested.
- Organize care packages and referrals to other agencies, under the direction of a senior nurse.
- Produce regular statistical performance information and provide patient data as requested.
- Complete monthly sickness and absence information on e-roster.
- Receive visitors and deal with telephone calls, as necessary.

Person SpecificationEssential Criteria
- Able to produce evidence of a good basic education, including numeracy and literacy skills.
- NVQ3 in secretarial or office administration or equivalent experience.
Desirable Criteria
- Computer skills, including proficiency in appointment systems.
- Clerical experience in an NHS setting.
- Knowledge of working in a medical setting and using medical terminology.
