EDEX is seeking an English Teaching Assistant to join our team at an Outstanding Secondary School in Westminster. As an aspiring English teacher, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and training in a supportive environment.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with pupils in KS3, KS4, and KS5 English lessons, providing support and guidance to students of all abilities. You will also have the opportunity to work with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their English studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and guidance to students in English lessons
  • Work with students with SEN in their English studies
  • Assist with group interventions and 1:1 support
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement English lesson plans

Requirements

  • English Graduate with a 1st class or 2:1 degree
  • Strong academics and a passion for teaching
  • Ability to work with students of all abilities
  • Positive role model with excellent communication skills
