Credit Controller Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our client's dynamic team in Leamington Spa. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and minimizing credit risk.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor and manage accounts receivable and cash flow to ensure timely collections and reduce overdue balances.
  2. Communicate with customers via phone and email to resolve outstanding issues and collect payments, or alternatively place customer accounts on hold.
  3. Perform credit checks on new customers.
  4. Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and transactions.
  5. Report and resolve any cash flow discrepancies and issues with both internal and external customers.
  6. Identify and escalate potential credit risks to senior management.
  7. Raise invoices in line with EOC/SOC.
  8. Collection of petty cash and banking of cheques where required.
  9. Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts, credit limits, and cash flow forecasts for the CFO.
  10. Deliver bi-weekly meetings with the projects team and quarterly debt review meetings.
  11. Assist with HSQE audits, both internally and externally.
The Ideal Candidate:
  1. Have proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.
  2. Strong understanding of credit and collections principles.
  3. Ability to prioritize workloads to provide smooth and timely credit control operations.
  4. Be proactive and innovative; suggesting improved approaches to company performance, credibility, and profile.
  5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  6. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  7. Ability to handle confidential information with complete discretion.
  8. Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with financial software where possible.
