Ribbons and Reeves are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team at a supportive school in Kingston-upon-Thames.
Job OverviewThis is an excellent opportunity to work closely with students, providing tailored support to ensure their academic success and personal development.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a range of SEN needs, both in the classroom and in small group settings. You will help create an inclusive learning environment that enables all students to succeed, providing 1:1 and group support to ensure their engagement and progress.
Main Responsibilities- Supporting students with SEN across the curriculum, both in-class and through small group work.
- Implementing individualised learning plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Providing emotional and social support, helping students develop confidence and positive behaviour.
- Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and adapting resources to suit the needs of SEN students.
- Monitoring and tracking student progress and liaising with the SENCO and other staff to provide effective support.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience working in an educational setting, ideally as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve their academic and personal best.
The salary for this position is £490 per week (Pro Rata), with the possibility of a contract until July 2025.
