We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at EMED Group. As a key member of our Safe Care Division, you will play a vital role in supporting the police and other professionals in transporting vulnerable service users to and from healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Support service users with challenging behavior and/or mental health illnesses
- Assist with lifting, securing, and helping service users in and out of the ambulance
- Work alongside the police and other professionals to transport service users between various locations, including hospitals, homes, and prisons
- Liaise with hospital staff and the police on the safe conveyance of service users
- Ensure the ambulance is kept safe, clean, and tidy
- Full manual UK driving license
- Committed to patient care and the ability to build a rapport with patients
- Effective communicator and experience of communicating with others in emotional and difficult circumstances
- Calm, considerate, and careful driver with no more than six penalty points on your license
- Natural flair for team working and collaboration
- Physically fit for patient handling, moving, and occasionally, patient restraint
- Able to problem solve and identify key changes in patients' behavior
