Tax and Financial Expert

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Audit and Tax Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for providing expert tax and VAT advice to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic, expert, and customer-valued financial and taxation information and advice to both internal and external customers.
- Develop and maintain standardised ways of working within the team and across the organisation, ensuring effective and efficient processes and templates.
- Maintain full legal and compliance standards, ensuring accurate data and records.
- Keep up to date with corporation tax and VAT legislative changes and requirements, and identify opportunities for tax efficiencies.
- Provide assistance with employment tax compliance and advice in relation to global mobility.
- Support the financial accounts team with aspects of monthly and annual reporting, and assist with the preparation of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Work closely with the capital and income accountant on month-end capital reporting and controls, and support the preparation and audit of the statutory accounts.
- Monitor and authorise payments on a day-to-day basis, and contribute to the development and implementation of changes to treasury management.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with a desire to further develop and progress technical and tax accounting skills.
- Good knowledge of tax and VAT, and a learning mindset.
- Ability to explain technical aspects of the role to non-financial colleagues.
- Demonstrable track record in process and procedural delivery.
