Job Opportunity:

The University of Edinburgh is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research Governance Administrator to join our team. This role will assist with research governance and ethics administration, maintaining the College's online research ethics and governance review system, and supporting the College Research Ethics Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the College's online research ethics and governance review system
  • Assist in the roll-out of a University-wide online ethics system
  • Support and produce regular reports for projects requiring University sponsorship and/or NHS Research Ethics and R&D approval
  • Provide administrative support to the College Research Ethics Committee

Requirements:

  • Ability to deal appropriately with confidential data and act with discretion on sensitive information
  • Well-developed organisational, decision making, time management and prioritisation skills
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and procedures
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, both in writing and in person
  • Resourcefulness and ability to use sound judgement, initiative, and have a proactive approach to seeking out information
