Senior Property Lawyer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Lawyer to join our busy team at CDH Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our Conveyancing Team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of property transactions from instruction to completion.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of property transactions, ensuring due diligence and efficient progression.
  • Assess risk on every transaction, providing pragmatic decisions and legal advice.
  • Draft legal documents, including standard precedent letters, contract packs, and exchange letters.
  • Post-completion works, including preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry and Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse personalities.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Relevant experience in property law and conveyancing, with a strong understanding of the relevant legislation and regulations.
Working Hours and Benefits
  • Core hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm, with 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
  • The office is open between 8:00am and 7:00pm Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm on Saturday, and 10:00am to 3:30pm on Sunday.
  • You will be required to work 5 days and no more than 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis.
  • Up to 26 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
