West Dunbartonshire Council is seeking a skilled and flexible individual to join our catering team as a Casual Relief Catering Assistant. This role involves assisting in the day-to-day operational requirements of our catering service, including food preparation and service, cleaning, and adherence to health and safety legislation.

Salary and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position starts from £13 per hour pro rata. As a member of our team, you will have access to the Local Government pension scheme with an employer's contribution of at least 19.3% and all associated benefits, including a minimum of 25 days annual leave increasing by a day each year up to 35 days, plus 8 fixed public holidays.

About the Role

This is a casual relief position, requiring flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends. You will be responsible for setting up and clearing away equipment for food service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require good communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a strong attention to detail. Previous experience in a similar environment would be advantageous but not essential.
