Job Summary

CNA Hardy is seeking a highly skilled Claims Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Claims Operations team, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing our claims strategy to deliver a market-leading claims service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive efficiency and process improvement using data analysis and reporting
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve team performance
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and exceptions, and provide insights to inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with the Claims Operations Director to design and implement a control framework and reporting oversight that aligns with our claims department's goals
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our claims manual and key governance controls, including SOX compliance
  • Work with Claims Directors to ensure data completeness and accuracy, and that our data and management information align with business requirements
  • Scope and contribute to business requirements and implementation of new claims workflow systems
  • Advocate for continuous improvement and influence stakeholders within and outside of Claims
  • Analyze the performance of outsourced arrangements, including TPAs, experts, and DXC
  • Meet all reporting and governance requirements, including Lloyd's Minimum Standards, Conduct Risk, and Solvency II
  • Stay up-to-date with new products and initiatives, and provide recommendations for implementation and onboarding
  • Drive the implementation and execution of new and improved processes
  • Develop resource and triage modeling to enable Claims Leadership to identify resource requirements
  • Liaise with stakeholders outside of Claims to facilitate problem-solving
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Understanding of business objectives and the market in which we operate
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to plan and organize own role effectively
  • Strong mathematical and statistical ability
  • Understanding of claims practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and legal requirements applicable to the position

  • Basic SQL query writing
  • Creating reports in Business Objects, Tableau, or similar tools
