Capital Programme Financial Planning

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and take responsibility for the financial planning of the Capital Programme.

In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Development and Assistant Director of Assets to ensure that financial planning is aligned with the business plan. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably in the housing sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports.
  • Liaise with budget holders to ensure that financial planning is aligned with the business plan.
  • Act as a first point of contact on all finance-related issues for the directorate you support.
  • Provide reports to the Treasury Management team to assist with loan covenant compliance reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation of Statutory Accounts Disclosures and liaise with external auditors during the audit of the accounts.

Requirements:

  • Fully or part-qualified accountant with a clear understanding of finance processes.
  • Relevant management or leadership qualification.
  • Experience of working in the housing sector.
  • Knowledge of Capital Accounting and associated transactions.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-Finance colleagues.
  • Prioritization and deadline management skills.

Estimated Salary Range: £42,500 - £52,000 per annum, based on experience.
