We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Geography Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic team at a mainstream secondary school in Northampton. The ideal candidate will be a passionate Geography graduate with a First or Upper Second Class degree, looking to pursue a career in education.

The successful candidate will provide academic support and intervention for students, ensuring they reach their full potential. They will work closely with the Geography department to support classroom learning and one-to-one/small group sessions, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive school environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing general classroom cover in the absence of the class teacher, communicating the work set by the class teacher to the students.
  • Promoting positive student behaviour and conducting classroom management and organisation.
  • Upholding the school rules and ethos.
  • Following all instructions as directed by the class/lead teacher.
  • Observing Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Assisting with whole school administration.

Requirements:

  • A Geography degree with a First or Upper Second Class grade.
  • A strong desire to pursue a career in teaching and education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and positive attitude to supporting students in their academic journey.
