About the Role
As a Shared Lives Carer with Cornerstone Community Care, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with disabilities to live fulfilling lives in their own communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support to individuals in your own home, enabling them to participate fully in community life.
- Build strong relationships with the people you support, promoting their independence, well-being, and happiness.
- Work collaboratively with our assessment team to ensure a careful matching process, taking into account your strengths, knowledge, and personality.
- Participate in regular visits and support from our Shared Lives team to ensure you feel happy, confident, and supported in your role.
- Join our community of carers at regular forum meetings to share knowledge, experience, and best practices.
Requirements
- A spare room in your home to accommodate the person you support.
- Time, patience, empathy, and a sense of humour to help individuals meet the challenges of everyday life.
- Ability to work as a self-employed individual and manage your own expenses.
