Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to the nursing team in delivering high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans that cater to the unique needs of each patient.
  • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the ward, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
  • Support and mentor junior staff members, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for patients, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of patient safety and risk management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  • RMN or RNLD qualification and current registration with the UK NMC.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a track record of delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes.
  • Experience working in adult acute, CAMHS, or PICU settings, with a strong understanding of the complexities of mental health care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
