About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst to join our team at Tesco. As a SAM Analyst, you will play a critical role in optimizing the value, cost, and risk of our software asset lifecycle while aligning with our business strategic requirements. You will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to software agreements and renewal requirements, ensuring compliance with licensing terms and entitlements, and driving efficiencies through license optimization.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the Software Asset estate, ensuring compliance with licensing terms and policies. - Develop and implement robust software entitlement management processes. - Implement and promote rigorous governance throughout the software lifecycle. - Identify opportunities to drive value and improve the performance of our existing and potential software base. - Embed a formal software asset management framework for all relevant software across the estate. - Develop and maintain Exec and operational level dashboards and reporting. - Lead external software compliance audits for Tier 1 and Tier 2 software suppliers. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a SAM-related role. - Strong knowledge of licensing and deployment models. - Ability to lead software entitlement processes and reporting. - Strong understanding of supplier governance and its implications for Software Asset Management. - Knowledge and understanding of vendor audit and compliance strategies and processes. - Professional certification related to Software Asset Management (e.g., IAITAM, CSAM or equivalent, Microsoft MCP).
