About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Finance Professional to join our team in North Yorkshire. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing financial projects that drive business growth.

You will support Directors and Heads of Department with financial advice and guidance, ensuring the charity's financial goals are met. You will also oversee the production of monthly management accounts, manage budgets, and maintain accurate financial reporting for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement projects and initiatives relating to financial reporting, awareness, controls, and performance management.
  2. Support Directors and Heads of Department with operational advice and guidance in areas such as budget management, trend analysis, and digital transformation.
  3. Line manage 2 Assistant Accountants with their development in mind.
  4. Oversee the production of monthly management accounts and review debtor and creditor lists to drive down time.
  5. Manage profit and loss, cash flow forecasting, budgets, and reporting with commentary for the board.
  6. Maintain, review, and develop financial models to support new and existing business.
  7. Monitor and control expenditure for designated areas.
  8. Maintain accurate financial reporting for stakeholders, enabling informed decision making.

Requirements:

  • Working towards ACA / ACC / CIMA or fully qualified.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills and previous use of finance software.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to non-finance people across the business.
  • Full driving licence for travel to different sites.
  • Experience communicating, negotiating, and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
