About the Position

This Principle EMC Engineer and Team Lead role is an exciting opportunity to join our Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Team in Engineering. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing support to the Engineering Manager and/or external specialists in defining electromagnetic requirements and undertaking specialist testing of systems, sub-systems, and components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of Engineers in the development of EMC compliant systems.
  • Specifying and managing requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system, platforms, or programmes.
  • Advising design teams on EMC requirements and design considerations.
  • Liaising with EMC test engineers to design and specify testing regimes to prove system compliance against relevant standards.

Your Skills and Experience

  • BEng (Hons)/MEng or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional registration at Chartered level or evidence of working towards this.
  • Experience of design for EMC compliance.
  • Knowledge of EMC Defence Standards would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience and ability to lead and mentor a team.

  • A competitive salary: £70,000 - £100,000 per year, depending on experience.
