We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our Procurement department in Staffordshire, UK. This leadership role will involve managing a set of categories on a global basis, reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Project manage supplier performance, cost, and risk
- Lead a team of Senior Buyers and Buyers within non-production procurement
- Ensure the supply base meets business unit and regional expectations
- Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings and process improvements
The ideal candidate will have experience in category management, procurement, and leadership. This role offers a salary of c£70-80k DOE, with a good benefits package including car allowance, bonus, 33 days holiday, pension, and health care program.
Relocation packages are available for those interested in moving to the West Midlands area. The working hours are 8:30-5 Monday to Thursday and Friday 8:30-4pm, with flexibility. There is an opportunity to grow with an internal development program and international travel for supplier assessments.
