Deputy Store Manager
As a Deputy Store Manager at Halfords, you will play a vital role in leading our retail store team. You will be empowered to make decisions and take ownership of the store's operations, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and our sales targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, including staff supervision and customer service.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and retail operational procedures.
- Manage labour force scheduling and associated time management skills.
- Deliver coaching and training to staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- At least one year's managerial experience in a retail sales environment.
- Experience of managing colleagues and one-to-one coaching.
- Experience of meeting compliance standards across health and safety and retail operational standards.
- Experience of labour force scheduling, and associated time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing.
- IT proficient, with experience of working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the aptitude to learn in-house systems.
