Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of FEP Drug Discovery to join our team at Aspire Life Sciences Search. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of experts in free energy calculations and contribute to the development of innovative drug candidates.

About the Role

As a Director of FEP Drug Discovery, you will be responsible for managing a team of scientists dedicated to free energy methods. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing new methodologies, mentoring team members, and overseeing projects from early stages to pre-clinical phases.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and Represent Technical Expertise

Develop and maintain technical expertise in free energy methods, ensuring the team stays up-to-date with the latest advancements.

2. Implement Scientific Methodology

Implement a scientific and in-depth methodology for free energy calculations, ensuring accuracy and reproducibility.

3. Set the Team for Success

Set the team up for success by providing clear direction, mentoring team members, and ensuring the team is equipped to tackle complex projects.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in free energy methods

• In-depth knowledge of atomistic simulations, physical-chemistry, and statistical mechanics

• Experience managing PhDs and postdocs, with the ability to oversee a team of 6-10 people

• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and motivate team members and stakeholders

• Ability to deliver value for short and long-term endeavors

• Can-do attitude, solution-finder mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment
