Senior Agricultural Researcher

ADAS Ltd, a member of RSK Group Ltd, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Agricultural Researcher to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our High Mowthorpe Office, North Yorkshire.

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in agricultural research to work on various projects, including government-funded initiatives and collaborations with leading businesses. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a range of skills and knowledge, contributing to a suite of agricultural research projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver practical research for agricultural crops, working in disciplines such as pathology, physiology, entomology, soils, and nutrients.
2. Develop specialist technical expertise to deliver on-site trial work and implement applied research and knowledge exchange.
3. Work towards managing projects, ensuring key objectives and deadlines are met, and maintaining high levels of scientific credibility and client satisfaction.
4. Develop a sound and effective working relationship with colleagues, collaborators, and the industry to grow the business.
5. Assist in marking out studies, applying treatments, collecting and processing samples, disease monitoring of plants, and weed identification.

Requirements:

1. A strong work ethic and willingness to work.
2. No previous experience is required, as in-house and external training will be provided.
3. A full UK driving licence to drive manual vehicles in the UK.
4. Eligibility to work in the UK.
5. A progressive attitude with flexibility and willingness to take on a wide range of challenges.
