About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Management Team for Cancer Services as an MDT Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the care and experience of patients and their carers who access our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of MDT Facilitators and Coordinators, ensuring effective delivery of key operational administration services for cancer services.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Cancer Performance Manager to ensure timely cancer treatment and compliance with national cancer waiting targets.
  • Develop and implement effective mechanisms to track cancer patient pathways and ensure data accuracy on the Somerset Cancer Register.
  • Collaborate with teams across the Coventry and Warwickshire Healthcare Partnership to ensure patients receive timely treatment.
  • Provide leadership and support to the team, ensuring adherence to Trust values and policies.
Requirements
  • ILM Introductory Management certificate or equivalent experience at a supervisory level.
  • In-depth diploma/degree in a relevant area.
  • Managerial experience in an administrative environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of cancer waiting times targets and the Cancer Outcomes and Services Dataset.
  • Excellent understanding of people management and communication skills.
