Sterilization Technician

We are recruiting for a Sterile Services Technician to work in our busy Sterile Services Department at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of reusable medical devices.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of decontamination procedures and quality standards. You will be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- To carry out medical device decontamination duties (under supervision) and assist supervisors in providing a specialized medical devices decontamination service contributing to the clinical care of patients.
- To work in accordance with the Department's Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Management Systems at all times and throughout all production areas, ensuring safe systems are followed for patient safety.
- To undertake tasks associated with the cleaning, disassembly, checking, packing, sterilization, and movement of surgical instruments to ensure the safe reprocessing and distribution of products for use in theatres and other clinical departments.
