We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team at the Water Research Centre. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in helping us achieve our objectives, including becoming consciously sustainable and being a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with clients to understand their needs, identify opportunities, and lead development of proposals
  • Leading and providing technical support for consultancy projects
  • Performing data analysis and modelling, and preparing interpretative reports to share findings with clients
  • Contributing to wider service offerings, including cross-WRc and cross-RSK
  • Contribute to the development of business plans and new business offerings
  • Providing mentoring and training to junior colleagues to support and inspire their technical development

Person Specification

  • Significant experience in the waste and resources sector
  • Degree in a STEM discipline, preferably an environmental or chemical science, and ideally a waste and resources linked MSc or PhD
  • Proven skills in client contact, and proposal and report writing
  • Able to lead, motivate, and take ownership of issues, and seek team participation to achieve best solutions

Salary and Benefits

  • Up to £60,000 depending on experience
  • Potential for promotion to Principal Consultant
  • Flexible working hours based on a 37-hour week, Monday to Friday
