Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Civil Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and construction of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) nuclear power plant. Your key responsibilities will include managing site change requests, optimizing design received from the Back office, addressing civil works contractor's queries, assessing Field Change Requests, coordinating with drafting team, assessing Non-Conformance Reports, conducting quick assessments on reinforcement concrete issues, and communicating with back-office team and Client team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Managing and treating site change requests respecting the design intent, project specifications, and deadlines.
  2. Supporting the Civil Team of the Nuclear Island in optimizing the design received from the Back office.
  3. Addressing civil works contractor's queries related to the design packages released by the Back Office.
  4. Assessing Field Change Requests (FCR) from the site and their feasibility.
  5. Coordinating with the drafting team to manage the implementation of design modifications in the 3D models and 2D drawings.
  6. Assessing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) from the civil works contractor and the proposed repair solutions or additional measures.
  7. Conducting quick assessments on reinforcement concrete issues (hand calculations).
  8. Communicating with the back-office team and the Client team on site as appropriate.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  2. Proven experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design.
  3. Experience in nuclear or complex industrial projects.
  4. Experience in reinforced concrete detailing.
  5. Self-motivated individual with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
  6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
