Senior Research Manager

About the Role

The Youth Endowment Fund is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Manager to lead the development of evidence-based recommendations in policing and youth justice. As a key member of our Research team, you will be responsible for leading the development of the YEF's strategy and research agenda on policing and youth justice, becoming the YEF's expert on policing and youth justice, and developing great relationships with experts and representing YEF in external meetings and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of evidence-based recommendations in policing and youth justice.
  • Lead the development of the YEF's strategy and research agenda on policing and youth justice.
  • Become the YEF's expert on policing and youth justice.
  • Develop great relationships with experts and represent YEF in external meetings and events.
  • Work with our Change Team to produce resources and accessible summaries for policing and youth justice colleagues on the evidence.
  • Produce accessible summaries of YEF evaluation reports that can be used by policy makers, practitioners, and service commissioners.

Requirements

  • Experience in policing and/or youth justice, including knowledge of key ideas and debates, recent policy developments, and key people.
  • Ability to communicate complex evidence to a range of audiences.
  • Strong relationships with experts in policing and youth justice.
  • Experience in leading research projects and developing evidence-based recommendations.
